VW X ANGRY BIRDS
To launch the new aggressive VW Beetle to an audience that may have written the earlier models of the car off as too feminine, we created a new VW sponsored character and secret levels to the wildly popular Angry Birds game. Meet the Boss Beetle. 

The VW Boss Beetle appeared unannounced to temporarily hold the Mighty Eagle super-character hostage. By entering the game the VW Boss Beetle opened a portal to new and sinister levels within the game and given players an explosive new weapon comprised of speed and power, just like the VW Beetle. 

The Boss Beetle character was to be introduced as part of a larger backstory and campaign that would first play itself out across gaming blogs and YouTube and then surprise players in the game when the secret levels and new character appeared.

We created additional opportunities for VW to advertise in the game and to connect to the outside world with an actual special edition VW Boss Beetle, that would be sold exclusively through the game.
